CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA / NEW DELHI, INDIA, July 18, 2025- Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 17 in early September 2025. This launch will going to marking a significant milestone in the Company’s legacy. As per the leak sources, the iPhone17 series will feature four distinctive models. These models are the standard iPhone 17, the ultrathin iPhone 17 Air, the performance-driven iPhone17 Pro, and the powerhouse iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Launch Timeline And Event Dates
As per the sources, the launch will going to happen on the 18th or 19th of September 2025. On the other hand, there are other assumptions also related to the date of the launch. Another date that is coming headline is September 09, which is used by Apple to launch their phone for a long time. If we see the past trends, the pre-order of the new phone devices is expected to kick off on September 12th.
Key Features and Upgrades:
- Design: The iPhone 15 Air stands out for its extremely thin profile, which is rumoured to be around 5.5 mm. The phone is a redesigned aluminium frame, and pastel colour options like Purple and sky blue. The pro models may return to aluminium also. There are reports that the Apple logo may also shift on some of the models of the phone.
- Performance: All the models of the phone will be powered by the Latest A19 chip, using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. The Pro and Pro Max models of the phone will get an upgraded “A19 Pro” variant, along with 12GB RAM versus 8GB in the standard and Air Models.
- Display: The expected size of the display is going to be 6.3 inches, 6.6 inches (iPhone-17 Air), and 6.9 inches (iPhone-17 Pro Max). Non-Pro models may feature ProMotion technology and always-on displays for the first time
- Camera: Major Cameras in the phone will be going to have an upgrade, especially for the Pro Models, including triple 48MP sensors and improved telephoto lenses. The camera in front could also jump to 48MP on all the models in the market.
- Battery: In the current time, Apple is working on high-density silicon-anode batteries to offset the Air Slim build. The Air’s battery life may be average, with potential accessory battery cases available.
- Other Improvements: Apple is currently working on enhanced wireless connectivity via a new Apple C1 modem(5G, Wi-Fi7), vapor chamber cooling on Pro models, and continues to focus on “Apple Intelligence” features.
