Srikanth was born blind (visually impaired) in a rural agricultural family in Andhra Pradesh. The villagers advise his parents to abandon him, but his family always supported Srikanth. He attended Devnar School for the blind, Hyderabad (1998-2007), and later he attended Royal Junior College, Hyderabad (2007-2009).
He was denied the option to study science after class 10 because of his disability. Srikanth challenged the education system, filed a legal case, and won the right to study Science as Andhra Pradesh’s first visually impaired student in the Science stream.
He excelled in board exams with an achievement gof 98% score. Later, he got admission to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Srikanth became the first international visually impaired student in Management Science at MIT Sloan.
